A dime sized splash of water from a springtail culture with 6 visible adult springtails, reveals a whole lot more going on here than meets the eye. A couple of hundred babies and thousands of eggs clustered like grapes in this dime sized sample. Pic. A-Shows a large white female Springtail feeding on the carcas of another adult springtail, while the smaller tan colored males attends to her laying. Babies mill about the eggs.
